the Tuesday Song of the Week

Sorry I missed last week.  I'm still not 100% moved from the City of Bothersome Love to downa shore, and going back and forth is time-consuming.

Anyway, my problems are not your problems, hence...

'La Paloma' - Edmundo Ross

I wish I could have posted his version of 'Elizabeth' but it's not on YouTube.

the Tuesday Song of the Week

Sorry I missed yesterday.  Moving -- especially if you're moving in little tiny steps -- is a painolza.

Nevertheless...

Pa sings!
'I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore' - Lorne Greene

I actually found this album a hundred years ago at an auction.  Back then I had a working turntable, I found it to be an enjoyable listen.  Some day I'll get a new (non-Crosley) turntable, and listen again.

Foreign coins!

===========================================================================

Western bad guy! (that's what the black hat means)

=======================================================================

 A landmark in vampire history!
This image was on the front cover of the playbill for the 1928 Broadway production of Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi.  How do I know that?  Because I have the original playbill, that's how.
=======================================================================
Don't I hand-color good?

=======================================================================

True fact: back in the day, on the main drag in my nabe, there was a school whose sole function was teaching people how to play the accordion.

========================================================================

 Even people who don't like tomatoes like tomato advertising.

======================================================================

Springer spaniel mom, springer spaniel puppies
=======================================================================

To wear while tie-ping.  Also a must for when you attend a typosphere gathering.

========================================================================

Fish gone fishing!

the Tuesday Song of the Week

Welcome back to the 1980s !!

'C'est la Vie' - Robbie Nevil

What's on your...

wallet?

This week will be Accessories Week, starting with some bo awesome wallets (My punk name this week is Bo Awesome.)

 The above is a wallet + change purse all-in-one.  Soooo convenient.

The Nash is a regular FABRIC wallet, a shout out to my vegan friends!  True fact: my grandfather, a low level Irish mobster (I think he ran numbers or did something similarly non-violent, but which made him a ton of dough) and all-around businessman purchased a Nash dealership about five minutes before the assault on Pearl Harbor.

Bad timing.
 Sometimes on FeeBay, you'll see an article of vintage clothing termed 'killer,' as in 'A killer 1940s gabardine suit' or 'killer wiggle dress,' etc.  Above is a killer wallet.
 Don't I hand-color good?

Gloria's one of my all-time favorite stars, because she never ever stopped working, whether it was movie, tv and theatre acting, opening her own businesses, writing books, etc. etc.,  She just kept going and going and going.  I once met a gal who worked in the 1970s as a publicist in New York, and who had met with Gloria at her (Gloria's) home, where she marveled over the marble floor in the giant foyer.  Gloria's reply was, 'Oh, that.  My grandchildren like to roller skate on it.'
What does YOUR future hold?

Mine holds a trip to my new home downa shore; a friend and I are running some boxes down there this morning.
